The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie 2 Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies for the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency reported it can be alarmed concerning the substantial number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The intention of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your significant variety of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The assistance position produced for intervention ordeals a substantial influx of probable beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more means to permit the servicing of all customers and enhance access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
